i received this card in the mail today...all the way from holland! nel made it for me (thanks nel!) and she also put in a stamp image...so as soon as i get the chance i will share my creation! the theme for this swap was...holidays. if you want to join in on a couple of swaps head on over to first swap blog you only make one card at a time, so its not a HUGE commitment! lol

circle card

todays challenge over at DD waas to make a circle card. i have never even attempted a circle card before...so you could imagine me stressing big time! lol i finally came up with this one -


and i just love it! i used scraps of pp, and it is a bit tricky to see, but i fake stitched the thicker lettering! it looks really cool irl.

i made this card for "first swap blog"

the challenge was to use 2 or more colours from blue, orange black and white (i think!)

this was a very simple one, i used mums stamp, coloured in the butterfly with watercolour pencil, kaiser bling, scrap black and white cardstock.

CASED

i cased this card from an image i saw online somewhere. the original had a pic of a monkey and white dots insted of bling. i cant remember the name of the original creator...sorry! but thank you for the inspiration!

i used a scrap piece of cogsmo paper and kaiser bling.

todays challenge over at DD was sponsered by this great online store! we used products that are available on the store for our challenge this week. heres my card -

the items that can be found at the store are -

the bird stamp by rhonna farrer, the adhesive i used, dew drops , and some bazzill cardstock . i also used kaiser papers, stampin up ribbon, and another stampin up stamp.

i was foolin arond a bit with my new cuttlebug, and came up with this card -

not much to it really, the ribbon is stampin up, bling is kaiser, and the sentiment is a delish rubon. cardstock was all scrap.

as promised

as promised, here is the other card i made to match the one from yesterday.

how cute is that bird! all supplies are exactly the same as yesterdays. i think i am finally getting the hang of this photographing items thing! my lightbox (aka a big piece of white cardstock!) works beautifully.

so now for todays challenge -

i challenge you to use brown and pink on a creation (doesnt have to be a card...maybe an otp? or a layout? or maybe yes to a card?!)

Pink and green card

here is a card I made for a swap over at "first Swap Blog". its for the pink and green swap, and now that the recipient has received it i can share!

the paper i used for this was rescued from the 50 cent pile at my local scrap shop, the pink and green card was rescued from my scrap box! i used my hello birdie stamps for the sentiment and the branch, the sparklies came with the stamps (bargain!) the little owl was my bargain of the week! a full sheet of cute owls , birds, and leaves for......guess how much......$1.95!!!!! so all up this card cost next to nothing! but it is just so cute..i had to make another one just for me seeing that this one was jetting over to holland so stay tuned for that one (it has a cute bird insted of an owl!)

so thats it for today, but before i go...a challenge just for you! (well this is a challenge blog! lol)

i challenge you to make a card using a scrap of patterned paper that you have had for ages ...the longer the better

one bit!

todays challenge over at DD was Use only 1 piece of patterned paper. You can use different colors of cardstock, background stamps, embellishments, cuttlebug, etc.

i decided to throw myself right out of my comfort zone with this card....buttons....distressing....background stamping....the colours...and the stamp is soooo not my style. but overall i like the way this card turned out :-)


i challenge you today, to get out of your comfort zone and do somrthing you wouldnt normally do!
